Click Scolmore delivers versatile products for Boutique Aparthotel in Warwickshire
The recent refurbishment of The Station at Shustoke in Warwickshire presented a distinctive design challenge. As a boutique aparthotel set within a converted Victorian railway station, the property is defined by individuality and rich history. Each room has been designed with its own personality, incorporating, a wide range of colour schemes, textures and layouts which not only captures contemporary artistry but honours the historical character of the 160-year-old building. This diversity required electrical accessories that could integrate seamlessly into every setting without compromising on style or performance.
To meet this requirement, products from Scolmore Group’s Click and Elucian ranges were specified throughout the 16-bedroom aparthotel. The objective was to ensure consistency in quality and functionality, while allowing complete freedom in interior design.

Click Deco brings consistency to varied interiors
Click Scolmore’s Deco wiring accessory range in the Polished Chrome finish was selected for all rooms. A variety of accessory types were installed, including 10AX 4 Gang 2 Way Plate Switches and 2 Gang 2 Way 100W Trailing Edge Dimmer Switches. Despite the variation in room aesthetics, the polished chrome finish provided a unifying design element. Its clean, reflective surface complemented both bold and understated interiors, demonstrating an ability to adapt across contrasting styles.
The versatility of the Click Deco range proved particularly valuable in this project. In rooms featuring contemporary palettes and minimalist layouts, the accessories enhanced the modern aesthetic. In more traditional or richly decorated spaces, they introduced reined contrast without appearing out of place. This adaptability ensured that no compromises were required in the overall design vision for any individual room.

Discreet distribution for a refined finish
In addition to the wiring accessories, Elucian supplied Single Phase Distribution Boards which were installed in each bedroom. Where possible, these were recessed into the fabric of the building to achieve a more discreet and streamlined appearance. This approach contributed to the clean visual finish of each space while maintaining full compliance with electrical requirements. A bespoke Elucian Three Phase Distribution Board was also fitted in a discreet area of the building delivering reliable performance and safety.
Julie Harman and Andy Miller, owners of The Station at Shustoke, commented:
“The Station at Shustoke underwent a major refurbishment in 2025, including a complete rewire of the property. We particularly wanted to source our main electrical components from a local manufacturer and were delighted to see that Scolmore Group is based in Tamworth, just a few miles away! Their products have proved to be of excellent quality, and the Click Deco sockets and switches are the perfect complement to our Boutique Aparthotel, set in a Victorian Railway Station.”
The outcome is a cohesive yet highly individualised environment. Every room at The Station at Shustoke offers a unique guest experience, yet all benefit from the same high standard of electrical specification. The project demonstrates that even within a setting defined by variation, a carefully selected product range can deliver both consistency and flexibility.
This refurbishment highlights the strength of Scolmore Group’s Click and Elucian solutions in meeting complex design briefs. The Click Deco range has proven its ability to complement a wide spectrum of interior styles, reinforcing its position as a versatile and reliable choice for high-end hospitality environments.
